The Department of Computer Science at Dordt University invites applications for a full-time faculty position.
Our growing department's need is open to varied experience, with expertise in machine learning, data science, cybersecurity, or analytics particularly valued. The ideal candidate will be an effective teacher who combines theoretical understanding of Computer Science concepts with experience, applying those concepts in practical situations. They will take ownership of courses and create an environment where students of all backgrounds can succeed.
In addition to teaching, this position will also include participation as a full team member in department and university administrative tasks (such as curriculum development and review, assessment, development of new initiatives, student recruiting and advising, and committee assignments).
A master's degree is required, and a doctorate is preferred. Experience as a practicing industry professional (e.g., programmer, network administrator, system administrator, etc.) will be favorably considered.
