Job Description

This position will require numerous advanced technical abilities to assist in automating technology for IT across campus. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Management, specifically Config Manager, Operating System Deployment, and PowerShell is required. Additionally experience with cloud services such as Intune, Autopilot, AWS, and Azure is helpful. These skills will be utilized across the enterprise environment to benefit students, faculty, and staff.

Other necessary skills include Group Policy, advanced Windows desktop knowledge, experience with unattended software packaging and deployment, and basic networking functionality. Familiarity with print servers and experience with virtualization is a plus.

In addition, a qualified candidate should be able to research, test and create implementation plans for new technologies in both hardware and software. They should be able to maintain an advanced knowledge of new products, upgrades, technologies, and their benefit to campus wide deployment initiatives; participate in alpha or beta testing of new products as assigned.

Salary

$48,000 - $67,000 Commensurate with experience

Shift

Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. 2-3 years’ experience working on Windows, Mac, or Linux operating systems. Broad range of LAN and desktop knowledge skills. Expansive knowledge of desktop/workstations hardware/software/operating systems (configuration and connectivity). Excellent technical knowledge and aptitude in the areas of networks, network topologies, network file servers, applicable software, and troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with systems administration and security principles. Familiarity with enterprise management technology for Windows and Macintosh platforms. Familiarity with Active Directory and Exchange. Familiarity with installation, maintenance and support of wireless technologies. Practical knowledge writing in one or more programming languages for multi-use/multi-tasking environments. Strong verbal and written communication skills sufficient to interact with a variety of users and other technical staff. Strong customer service skills.
