The Community Resources Coordinator is responsible for coordinating efforts to connect low-income students to benefits and services that can increase their college access and completion. Under the guidance of management, and in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, the Coordinator develops programs to equitably connect students to benefits, supporting College-wide program implementation and ongoing improvement. These positions report directly to the Pathways to Opportunity Program Dean. The Pathways to Opportunity Community Resource Coordinator specializes in assisting students/participants with access to federal, state, and local basic needs benefits and services. There are currently 2 temporary positions available, funded through June 30th, 2023.

For all positions, candidates will need to demonstrate a deep commitment to student success, equity, and inclusion. Candidates should have experience and/or possess an understanding of the dynamics of systems and institutions that impact individuals' educational opportunities, and economic mobility. Staff will need to apply a poverty-informed and racial justice lens to their work. Staff will also be interfacing and collaborating frequently with partners, employers, and/or internal college staff and faculty. Candidate Profile

These qualifications, skills and abilities are critical for success in this position.
Throughout the screening process, you will be evaluated based on the demonstration of these qualifications.
  • Experience in social services connecting participants to local, state, federal benefits, and community resources addressing housing insecurity, food insecurity, and other basic needs barriers impacting student/participant success.
  • Demonstrated ability to use both a trauma informed and an equity lens in case management, 1:1 student/participant support, partnerships development, and advocacy.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and develop and coordinate interconnected relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Experience with data collection, sorting, and reporting of student/participant engagement metrics and outcomes.
  • Demonstrated awareness of one’s own cultural background and how it influences biases, values, and practices and how these biases, values, and practices shape their work.
Minimum Qualifications

To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communication, a Social Science discipline, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in an educational or training environment is required, to include experience working in program/division serving diverse populations.
  • Two years of experience coordinating complex projects.
Position Grade 4 Starting Salary Expectations $56,401.00 to $60,422.00 (Step 3); based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. Position Grade Salary Range $56401 to $97805 Annual Salary FTE 2 PCC Benefits

Paid Leave: (Pro-rated by FTE for Part-Time Employees)
  • Starts at 13.33 hours of vacation leave per month (additional vacation hours with years of services)
  • 1 day of sick leave per month
  • 11 holidays

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Work is typically performed in an office environment. Incumbents may regularly drive between campuses, and remote sites, requiring the ability to drive and use of a personal vehicle. Physical exertion is not a normal requirement of this job. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required. Background Check Required Yes
