Department: University Marketing and Communications

Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Director of Marketing in the University Marketing and Communications department.

The candidate would be expected to: lead in developing, managing, and executing the University's strategic marketing plan, campaigns, and related initiatives to position the University, support enrollment goals, and advance the institution in collaboration with the Associate Vice President for University Marketing and Communications; manage the day-to-day implementation of the University's brand and enrollment call-to-action marketing and advertising strategies; serve as the point of contact for all marketing requests from campus partners; evaluate and make recommendations to best support requests using bench-marking and best practices; prepare creative briefs for key initiatives to establish shared expectations with the client and inform the work of design, editorial, digital content, and media teams; supervise the social media coordinator and oversee social media marketing and communications content planning, creation, and delivery to support the University's brand strategy and strategic plan goals.

Required Degree, License or Certifications:
Bachelor's degree

Required Skills or Software:
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills

Required Years of Experience: 3

Other Requirements:
Three years of marketing experience. Higher education marketing experience. Copywriting experience.

Strategic thinking, along with attention to detail, as well as superior organizational, project-management (including managing multiple projects on deadline), time-management, and written and oral communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Powerpoint) and any standard content management (CMS) system.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree.
