This dynamic position supports the work of the Talent Acquisition team by providing high-level, candidate-focused assistance throughout the full recruitment life cycle. This critical position will also assist with a variety of HR programmatic functions, including directing customers to benefits websites and forms, planning events, website maintenance, and HR communication and scheduling oversite. The person we select for this role has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. The role will also serve as the first contact for employees, candidates, guests and students of Mines with HR related questions and concerns via phone, walk-ins and email. This position supports the management of Human Resources directed campus-wide events and meetings such as training sessions, recognition events, and large meetings. The position serves as the technical specialist in the department working with human resources information systems which include LMS, HRIS (Banner and WorkDay), ATS, and Wordpress (HR Website).. This position may supervise or direct the work of student employees. This position provides assistance on all strategic initiatives to balance out the workloads in HR i.e. note taking, Microsoft office work, database management, and other administrative duties as assigned.


About the job:
  • HYBRID POSITION: This full-time position partners with a second Recruiting Coordinator, splitting time between home and office to ensure front-desk coverage. We anticipate this role being in the Golden, Colorado office 2-3 days a week.
  • The position provides logistical support throughout the recruitment and offer process as well as oversee budget tracking for recruitment funds. This can include learning to post jobs in two different applicant tracking systems, posting advertisements, managing ad campaigns under direction, and tracking related budgets, supporting recruiters throughout the process, and providing other assistance as needed.
  • Under the direction of the supervisor, this position will be the department point of contact for job description database management; as a part of this function, they will support the HR team with file maintenance, scanning, indexing and uploading employee-related files to secure systems.
  • The position welcomes visitors and receives incoming calls from employees, students and candidates to either provide answers to questions or direct them to the person or team with the needed expertise.
  • This position also provides support for other HR functions within the department and supports senior leadership, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At minimum, four years experience in professional administrative support, project or program coordination, or office-based customer service role. OR;
  • A bachelor’s degree or additional post-secondary education from an accredited institution in business management, human resources, communications, marketing, English, the humanities or a closely related field with substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous state experience in human resources, recruiting, direct customer service, service navigation, or paralegal work is highly preferred
  • Experience working in a Human Resources setting, preferably in Recruiting is desired
  • Previous experience working with NeoGov, Workday, or other applicant tracking systems is preferred
  • Prior experience working in a Higher Educational setting is preferred
  • Bilingual ability both written and spoken is a plus!
