Class Description

The Director will lead the strategy and execution of the college’s comprehensive, multi-channel marketing and communications plans to support CCBC’s mission, vision, programs, and services, and to enhance the college’s stature and value to its audiences. This position will develop, implement, and manage marketing and communication strategies for the recruitment and enrollment of all students including all credit, continuing education, CCBC Online, school based as well as retention initiatives for current students.

Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale .

Minimum Requirements

Master’s degree required, degree in marketing, communications or MBA preferred. A minimum of five (5) years demonstrated experience in marketing, communications, and campaign/message development required. A minimum of three (3) years of recent experience providing supervision and leadership to marketing and communications team preferably within a college environment required. Knowledge of enrollment marketing and communication best practices.

Class Specific Essential Duties

1. Provide leadership to assigned College division and/or function.
2. Hire, supervise, advise, train and coach assigned staff.
3. Provide direct supervision and evaluation to assigned staff.
4. Oversee unit projects and initiatives.
5. Manage operating budget for assigned division or function, as required.
6. Represent the college at networking events, affinity groups, and business and industry associations.
7. Remain knowledgeable about the College, its structure, culture, policies, and practices.
8. Serve as point of contact for internal and external organizations.
9. Prepare and analyze reports, as requested.
10. Serve as an advocate for the College and its students, as required.
11. Serve as liaison between college departments, faculty and/or staff, as required.

Position Specific Essential Duties

  1. Lead the strategy and execution of the college’s comprehensive, multi-channel marketing and communications plans.
  2. Collaborate with the Director of Digital Strategy to implement and execute marketing campaigns and strategies that support enrollment priorities across the College
  3. Supervise and manage a team of program marketing coordinators and staff to ensure specific enrollment related marketing and communication needs of the college are met. This includes but it not limited to Continuing Education, CCBC Online, and credit enrollment areas.
  4. Establish goals, metrics, and key performance indicators in collaboration with campus partners to meet project and campaign goals that support student enrollment, retention, and other strategic priorities.
  5. Analyze marketing metrics, establish mechanisms for regular reporting, and optimize or adjust content and campaigns accordingly.
  6. Once implemented, oversee the use of the Customer Relationship Management tool (CRM) as it relates to CCBC’s marketing and communication strategy, including data management.
  7. Work collaboratively with stakeholders at the college in areas including credit enrollment, Continuing Education, CCBC Online, and school Deans to determine marketing priorities and develop a plan to achieve those priorities and enrollment goals.
  8. Manage a marketing budget, this includes overseeing requisitions, entering into contracts and confirming the receipt of goods and services.
  9. Ability to manage complex, cross-divisional projects, lead teams through successful project completion, and manage multiple demands and projects simultaneously.
  10. Collect and track marketing results to improved impact from multi-channel campaigns.

Long-Term Disability

Plan pays 60% of gross monthly salary after 90 consecutive days of absence. Employee pays 100% of premium.
