The Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University invites nominations and applications for an Artist in Residence in Piano to hold the Joel Estes Tate Endowed Chair beginning August 1, 2023. The successful candidate will possess a distinguished and international reputation as both an artist and teacher of piano and demonstrate a record of attracting exceptional piano performance majors, primarily at the graduate level.

We welcome candidates from all backgrounds. The candidate selected will be expected to be a significant and collaborative partner in contributing to our programs, including
1) performances on campus, either solo or collaborative, 2) recruiting nationally and internationally, and 3) connecting to the arts community in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.

Qualifications
REQUIRED: Master of Music degree or equivalent professional experience; ten years professional performance/academic experience. PREFERRED: Proven record of successful teaching in a School or Conservatory of Music within a university setting. Qualifications will determine rank and compensation.
