Located in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Doña Ana Community College is a mid-sized college providing adult, transfer, and workforce education as well as small business assistance. Serving a majority of Latina/o and first-generation students as well as students in low-income circumstances, DACC is committed to ensuring that residents in our communities can access and benefit from its resources and services. 

DACC is seeking an experienced professional for a full-time position as Vice President for Academic Affairs. The college is seeking a dynamic and innovative individual who has a strong administrative, collaborative, and equity-focused background to serve in this position. 

Required Qualifications: PhD in a related field. Five (5) years of professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications:  Three years full-time teaching experience or equivalent part-time experience.  Knowledge of and experience with tenure and promotion process.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: Assist the President in the general operation and planning for the community college, budget development and monitoring, faculty and staff hiring, economic and workforce development initiatives and implementation, and facility utilization.  Oversee administration of the educational programs of the college (both credit and non-credit).  In conjunction with academic administrators, develop and implement academic programs and procedures.  Oversee administration of academic and academic support resources.  In conjunction with both executive and academic administrators, project and plan for personnel, fiscal, and physical resources needed to support quality academic and academic support programming.  In conjunction with chief student services officer, ensure the effectiveness of operations and initiatives that rely on both student services and academic units.  Supervise and evaluate associate vice presidents for academic affairs (AVPAAs), division deans, executive director of Workforce Development and Training, and office administrative assistants.  Coordinate and track on student success initiatives situated in Academic Affairs.  Oversee evaluation, promotion, and tenure process in Academic Affairs.
