Title: Admissions Associate

Position Summary: To support the mission of the College by ensuring a positive experience for prospective students and other constituents who contact the Office of Admissions either in person or by electronic means. This position will assist prospective students, in person, on the phone, and virtually in their decision-making, application, and enrollment process.

Duties and Responsibilities: Assist prospective students both in person, and at a distance, in the full decision-making, application, and enrollment process. Track interactions with students in the College's Customer Relationship Management system (CRM). Manage the Office of Admissions' email and text inboxes. Assist in managing platforms where correspondence with students takes place including, but not limited to, live web chats and social media accounts. Assist with paperwork, work orders, and administrative office tasks as needed. Process requests for College information from students and other College offices. Assist with administration of the President's Ambassador Scholarship program, including but not limited to, coordinating the scholarship application process, facilitating campus tours, scheduling and tracking scholarship hours. Coordinate mailing projects for the Office of Admissions. Assist coworkers with job duties to accomplish the overall responsibilities of the Office of Admissions. Assist with enrollment activities both on and off campus, including but not limited to, working an adjusted schedule during peak registration times. Foster and cultivate positive interaction with other departments and academic divisions across campus. Represent, in a positive manner, Volunteer State Community College, the Division of Student Services, and Office of Admissions with all internal and external constituents. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Two years office-related experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Associate's degree. Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) certification. Experience in a higher education setting.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Work Characteristics: Ability to react to change productively. Strong computer skills with an emphasis on word processing. Accurate and fast data entry skills. High organizational skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong attention to detail.

Pay Rate: 26,940.00 - 32,330.00 annual salary depending on experience
