Applicants must have a Ph.D. from an APA accredited program in clinical or counseling psychology at the time appointment begins. Applicants must have previous teaching experience. Candidates must be licensed or license eligible as psychologists in the State of Alabama. Candidates must also meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the term of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Applicants who employ innovative, evidence-based teaching practices are preferred. We desire applicants interested in developing innovated educational experiences and programs to continue to better serve our students. Instructional responsibilities will include the ability to teach and supervise graduate students in intellectual, academic achievement, and personality assessment courses. In addition to being dedicated teachers, applicants should have an initial program of research and a developing record of publication.

The Department of Psychology at Auburn University at Montgomery invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level beginning August 2023. We seek an Alabama state licensed or license-eligible clinical or counseling psychologist who will contribute to both our scientifically oriented undergraduate program and to the clinical track of our Master of Science in Psychology program ( https://www.aum.edu/master-of-science-in-psychology/ ). Applicants must have a Ph.D. in clinical or counseling psychology. Excellence in teaching and mentoring is required. Candidates who employ innovative, evidence-based teaching practices are preferred.
The successful applicant will be expected to teach, supervise, and mentor graduate students in intellectual, academic achievement, and personality assessment courses within the clinical track of our MS program. Successful candidates will also be expected to teach undergraduate level courses in their area of expertise, maintain an active research program that allows for student involvement, and actively contribute to service to the department, college, and university.

The Department of Psychology includes 11 tenure-track faculty and offers an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Masters of Science in Psychology graduate degree with two track options: Clinical and Industrial-Organizational.
