Job Description

The primary responsibility of the position is to process, record, and maintain all incoming and outgoing bank wires ( EFT / ACH ) to the financial system ( SAP ) and student system (Banner). This position also provides customer assistance to students, parents, staff, faculty, and the general public by phone, in-person, or e-mail regarding policies or procedures for university income recognition, tuition & fee assessment, student account payments, adjustments, or refunds, as well as other Student Business Services or university related processes.

Job Duties

Process, record and maintain all incoming and outgoing bank wires ( EFT / ACH ) and to the financial system ( SAP ) and student system (Banner). Collect, review, and post deposits and payments of various sources, including revenues received by various departments on campus, student payments for tuition/fees, tuition contracts & exemptions, collection agencies, and other miscellaneous items. Daily reconciling of cash, payment receipts, and journal vouchers; sometimes handling multiple balances. Prepare daily bank deposits ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Monitor the Bursar and Student Business Services email box. Respond to emails received from customers regarding past-due accounts or current tuition/fees bills and/or other SBS -related processes in a timely manner. Provide customer assistance to students, parents, staff, faculty, and the general public by phone, in-person, or e-mail regarding policies or procedures for university income recognition, tuition & fee assessment, student account payments, adjustments, or refunds, as well as other Student Business Services or university related processes.
