  • Proficient knowledge of computer programs/software including Adobe Creative Cloud, SAP, PeopleAdmin, and/or Banner;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability;
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Accounting or a Related Field;
  • Management or supervisory experience;
  • Knowledge of University and state guidelines related to procurement and financial processes;
Job Description

The University Libraries Business Manager provides a broad range of administrative services in the area of budgeting, business, management, and personnel management. This position supports University Libraries’ administrative operations including purchasing, accounting, budget tracking and adjustments, supervision of accounting and procurement staff, and guidance for collections and acquisitions staff on all purchasing and funds management. It also assists the Director of Library Operations with Human Resources and Facilities management as needed.

Job Duties
  • Responsible for directing and administering business related to financial matters, including budgeting, payroll, student employment, bookkeeping, and cash management.
  • Collect, analyze and summarize financial information for monitoring monthly accounting reports.
  • Collect, research, and make decision regarding the accuracy of expenditures and charges.
  • Prepare internal financial reports. Monitor accounting systems.
  • Analyze departmental budgets approve transactions and prepare transfers.
  • Prepare and maintain various reports and analysis of funding sources.
  • Records transactions and reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly ledger reports.
  • Assist with departmental recruitment, hiring, and training.
  • May supervise and evaluate staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
