The Agnes Scott College Department of Public Health is seeking a part-time instructor to teach an in-person course titled “Community-Based Public Health Research and Practice” in the Spring of 2023. The successful applicant will have a minimum of a master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) and preferably have a Ph.D. or be ABD in a Ph.D. program. Candidates will also be asked to provide evidence of excellence in teaching, ideally at the undergraduate level.

This course provided students with an overview of community-based health practice and research methods. The course covers building community partnerships and coalitions, community assessment, research planning, participatory data collection methods and analysis, data sharing, and ethics of participatory approaches.
