Job Summary

Co-teach Human Services ( HMNS ) Early Childhood Education courses in the OPC grant-funded Bilingual Early Childhood Education Certificate program with Workforce Partnerships Adult Education Facilitators. Design and deliver competency-based curriculum using multiple instructional modalities including on-line, hybrid and lecture. Develop network of diverse community based early education centers, programs and schools for quality field placement opportunities. Have strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, and a collaborative approach to working with students and colleagues in both English and Spanish.

Duties and Responsibilities

RI- BEST Delivery of Credit Courses:

Curriculum Development
· Collaborate with Adult Education facilitators to design a co-teaching schedule and program that supports students to succeed in Bilingual Early Childhood Education courses.
· Use innovative instructional strategies and technology that support student success and recognize diverse learning styles.
· Provide supervision of paraprofessionals and adult learners in field placement settings.

Departmental Support
· Contribute to a dynamic teaching and learning environment requiring teamwork, creativity and adaptability.
· Work at multi-campus locations as required by departmental needs.
· Demonstrate commitment to collaboration and collegiality.

Technology
· Use digital platforms to work with students and with RI- BEST team.
· Model and facilitate effective use of current and emerging digital tools in lifelong learning.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES :
· Demonstrate a commitment to the philosophy and mission of a comprehensive community college.
· Work collaboratively in a diverse, inclusive and student-centered environment, with students of various learning styles, cultures, identities, and life-experiences.
· Other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

· Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Child Development required.
· Minimum of three years teaching or delivering professional development to support Early
· Childhood Education educators, preferably at a Community College.
· Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English.
