The Coordinator of Housing Operations is a 12 month, full-time, live-off, professional staff member in the Office of Residence Life & Housing who supports the Associate Director of Housing Operations in managing housing and roommate assignments for a student population of roughly 1,800 students in four residence halls. The Coordinator will work closely with students, parents and guardians to ensure their housing needs are met by co-managing phone, email, and face-to-face support for the office.
Principal Responsibilities:- Provide support to Director, Associate and Assistant Director of Residence Life & Housing
- Assists the Associate Director to manage the StarRez housing system
- Assists the Associate Director to manage Workday Student (system of record) and the many connections between Workday and StarRez
- Assists with the management of the cbord system (student card access)
- Assist the Associate Director to manage the Morse Watchmen key management system
- Creates and manages room and meal plan change processes within StarRez
- Produce housing occupancy reports and maintain accurate housing rosters
- Process the billing and appeals process for all residence hall damages
- Support the Associate Director and Residence Directors with residence hall check-in and check-out procedures
- Serve as a primary operations contact for various offices on campus, including Student Accounts, Facilities, Payroll, Business, Bursar and Chartwells
- Coordinate necessary cleaning services at various times throughout the year
- Manage department social media accounts
- Coordinate all student/parent mailings
Position Complexities/Working Conditions
- Work extended hours during peak times of the academic year
- Extended vacations may be limited to Summer, Winter, and Spring Breaks
- Work evening and occasional weekends throughout the year
Qualifications
- Ability to build and sustain effective professional and courteous interpersonal relations with a diverse constituency of students, parents, faculty, staff
- Bachelors degree required
- Masters degree in College Student Development, Higher Education, or a related field is a plus, but not required
- The ideal candidate is has experience working in residence or student life office and has some interest in the field of Higher Education

- Ability to effectively manage sensitive and confidential student information
- Ability to exercise appropriate judgement, discretion, and initiative
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- The ideal candidate has experience with, or interest in learning, SQL database management skills
