Position Purpose
To support The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice in the development of national, state, and regional maternal and newborn health research and policy. The focus will be on a range of activities, including evaluation of maternal and newborn health disparities and healthcare service delivery and utilization; strategies to engage, enable and empower patients; and innovative models of intervention, improvement, and implementation. This position Works under the guidance of TDI faculty.
Description
For over 30 years, The Dartmouth Institute has been a pioneer in health services research. Our research has increased our understanding of geographic variations in healthcare delivery, the adaption and integration of payment reform models, and the factors influencing physician decision making and patient-clinician communication. The insights we gain help policy makers, systems leaders, and healthcare providers improve practices.
Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp
Bachelors plus 3-5 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Familiarity with basic research methods and data analysis (quantitative or qualitative)
- Ability to work directly with TDI faculty and project partners (e.g., providers, community organizations, payers, research institutions, etc.)
- Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities
- Commitment to diversity and serving the needs of a diverse population
- Superior verbal communication and writing skills, and comfort with self-direction
Master’s plus 1-2 years’ experience in maternal health research or project management
