The opportunity:

Reporting to the HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) Manager, the HRIS Data Specialist enters, audits, and monitors HR data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency. They provide user support and security updates for HRIS systems, and a broad range of Human Resource department data and systems support. They also perform routine administrative tasks in support of Human Resources, including generating reports, maintaining department process documentation, and testing and maintaining HRIS system and documentation for assigned projects. Essential Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Maintains optimal data integrity of HRIS data by entering data timely, consistently, and accurately.
  • Monitors system interfaces for data records in need of manual attention, or system issues.
  • Provides direction or assistance to users regarding process statuses, data requirements, and employee data updates. This includes PTO balance inquiries, personnel data changes, and Intern/Contractor accounts.
  • Provides a broad range of Human Resource general support to the HRIS Manager and HR site leadership. This includes assisting the Talent team with onboarding paperwork, data, and records, the Benefits team with data and record updates, yearly Compensation and Review records, and other various cyclical system or data-related activities.
  • Supports development and upkeep of documents that capture workflow processes to create efficiency with HR policies and / or procedures.

What you bring:

Required Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree with three to five years of job-related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Experience with one or more HRIS/HCM applications
  • Proficient with computers including, but not limited to experience working with Microsoft and/or Google Suites.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Human Resources, or any technology-oriented degree or certificate.
  • Experience with HRIS or other data entry with an HCM system.
  • Prior experience with HR data and processes, including on-boarding, benefits, and leave administration.
  • Experience in Higher Education.
  • Prior Banner or Ellucian systems experience is highly preferred.
  • Prior Time/Attendance system experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of applicable Federal and State employment laws.
