Position Summary

We invite you to join our Adjunct Faculty in the Bachelor of Science in Information Systems program. To teach in our program, you must have a terminal or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. We are searching for instructors who can teach courses in Database Management Systems, Web/EB Design & Development, and Human Factor /Ergonomic Design . Adjunct Faculty will have the opportunity to collaborate with the Program Director to enhance curriculum and course content.

Note: This part-time Adjunct Faculty position will be teaching 4-week or 8-week courses online and on-site at our San Diego campus.

Essential Job Duties:
  • Lead classroom sessions online and onsite according to university policies.
  • Provide expertise in assigned content area by maintaining current knowledge in the field.
  • Respond to student needs in a timely fashion or typically within 48 hours.
  • Provide substantive feedback to students, grade assignments, and post grades.
  • Participate in online class discussion boards.
  • Emphasize student-centered learning by promoting student inquiries and encouraging participation in their own learning.
  • Maintain a positive, safe, student-centric learning environment.
Required Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field from a regionally accredited university.
  • At least 1 year of teaching experience.
  • Must reside and be eligible to work in the United States.
