Marketing Manager



Position Summary:

With l i mited supervision, support a variety of projects regarding internal and external marketing campaigns and student recruitment and engagement initiatives for the National University System (NUS). A key player in supporting brand r eputation and awareness mar k eting efforts and leading planned and ad-hoc—functional manager providing marketing and administrative support to the Marketing Director .

Essential Functions:
  • Manages day-to-day projects from inception to completion including, pl anning, resources, coord i nating meetings, and documentation.
  • Creates, communicates, and manages project schedules, budgets and specifications.
  • Partner with Marketing Director to optimize referral program initiatives, media relati ons, link bu ilding, community and partnership engag e ment, and internal communications, working cross-functionally with key partners as needed;
  • Proactively seeks to understand and reach audiences relevantly from research to outreach.
  • Communica tes and documents special project status and strategic recommenda t ions to clients and team members regularly; escalates issues accordingly to appropriate channels.
  • Manages data input for proper campaign tracking using the existing lead management an d Client Relationship Management (CRM) system to track strategies and pr o duce reports by source, location, etc., using analytical tools and other applicable technologies to analyze and communicate results and performance of marketing efforts.
  • Suppor t cross-functional implementations partn ering with internal groups from Marketi n g Automation, Brand and Product Marketing, Paid Media, Creative, Enrollment, as well as external groups (i.e., Office of Communications, Workforce Education Solutions, Student Experience, Finance, Accounting) and ven dors (i.e., Student store);
  • Provides cl i ents with strategic solutions or ideas based on specialized knowledge of the industry and cultural trends, audiences, and competitors.
  • Develop and maintain repor ting and analysis to deliver actionable insights to me asure program/initiative performance, a n d inform future plans and program initiatives;
  • Contribute to annual planning, budgeting, and monthly re-forecasting for referral and review programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
R equirements:

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degre e in Business Admini s tration, Marketing, Advertis ing, Commun ications or related field, required ;
    • T hree (3) years relevant experience in marketing, project management, data management or analytics ; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Experience within the h i gher-education industry, a plus, but not required ; or, equiva l ent combination of education an d experience .

  • Knowledge of principles and practices of market i ng, creative writing, email and socia l media campaigns; basic understanding o f multi-channel media strategy. Knowledge of overall digital agency structure and processes with an unde rstanding of creative and development workflow.
  • Basic knowledge of proje c t management and tools such as Baseca mp, Trello or Teamwork, a plus; highly o rganized with solid time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to track campaigns and report ou tcomes using software applications like Eloqua and Google Analytics, desi r able.
  • Intermediate use of computers and Microsoft Office Suite Application s such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and ability to learn new systems as necessary to succeed with r esults.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively co m municate with a wide range of individ ual of constituencies in a diverse com mu nity. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Work independently and foster a cooperat ive spirit within a large and/or small team of diverse cultures, while wo r king in a fast-paced enviro nment with multiple deadlines and frequently cha ng ing priorities.
Travel: Up to 10% Travel required
