Outreach Specialist, Workforce Partnership



Position Summary
The Outreach Specialist will conduct outreach efforts resulting in the establishment and maintenance of Workforce Partnerships. Working with the current regional team, the Outreach Specialist plans, coordinates, and implements outreach strategies and activities, as well as represents the University to external constituents. The Outreach Specialist will meet with and offer presentations aimed at strengthening relationships with partner organizations and generating student leads. The Outreach Specialist will represent National University to a regional population of partner organizations within an assigned territory.

Essential Functions:
  • Contacts prospects (email, telephone, face-to-face, direct mail, and networking events) to schedule meetings and explain/answer questions and conduct presentations on partner benefits to activate partnerships regionally.
  • Maintains engaged relationships with assigned partner organizations to support awareness and benefits of National University programs amongst partner employees.
  • Implement, attend, and manage recruitment activities such as webinars, education fairs, trade shows, conferences, open house/information sessions, prospective student meetings.
  • Develops opportunities to host, sponsor, or conduct information sessions for potential students and organize/participate in NU sponsored events and activities to develop industry and community contacts.
  • Develops new and nurtures existing relationships between NU and workforce partners within assigned territory.
  • Effectively utilizes Salesforce to track and inform management on outreach and partnership activities; meet with leadership for planning direction and guidance.
  • Manages and abides by internal procedures and resources to ensure proper recording of data and successful lead generation, to meet outreach and partnership goals.

Requirements:
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required.
  • Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of experience in higher education, community college, admissions, or business development.
  • Higher Education experience preferred, but not required

  • Proven ability to work cooperatively and sensitively with individuals from diverse cultures, ethnic groups, lifestyles, and backgrounds.
  • Excellent public speaking skills with ability to present to groups both virtual and in-person on academic programs and partnership benefits.
Technical Skills:
  • Intermediate to advanced use of computers and Microsoft Office Suite Applications such as SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce CRM.
  • Other duties as assigned.
