Sr. Marketing Manager



Position Summary

With limited supervision, lead a variety of key projects, developing and coordinating online and offline advertising campaigns and public relation campaigns for Workforce Education Solutions. Owns and executes entire projects at the discretion of the President and other WES senior leaders (VPs and Executive Directors). Lead contributor to and planner for the success of both regional, state-wide, and national marketing and public relations campaigns. Functional manager providing guidance and management of assigned projects throughout the department. The successful candidate will be dedicated to providing high quality service to all constituencies of National University and other System affiliates. They will exhibit the highest professional standards and ethical principles.

Essential Functions:
  • Working with WES leadership and in partnership with the NUS marketing teams, lead and coordinate marketing strategy plans including detailed and demonstrated understanding of our core audiences, our product offerings, messaging strategies, as well as key channels and tactics associated with reaching our priority audiences and driving action
  • Develop quarterly marketing plans designed to drive engagement across key partners in all WES verticals
  • Serve as primary WES point of contact to NUS marketing teams for all B2B advertising campaigns, supporting creative development of all associated assets required
  • Manage all existing WES social media channels and create WES presence on new social media channels. Collaborate with university marketing teams to drive social media engagement with WES target audiences.
  • Manage and execute day-to-day projects and campaigns from inception to completion including planning, resources, meetings and documentation including interfacing with WES partner organizations as a key leader and contributor to launch and re-engagement meetings
  • Communicate and document special project status and strategic recommendations to WES leadership and team members on a regular basis
  • Interface with NU marketing agency (NUSA) to ensure program and partner collateral and web resources are up-to-date and available to all WES vertical teams and outreach staff
  • Manage public relation campaigns, messaging, and develop talking points for WES partners and constituents
  • Collaborate with university marketing teams and WES leadership to create and maintain content for new WES website to better serve existing and new organizational partners
  • Manage and coordinate WES events including partner information sessions and promotional webinars, coordinating pre and post event communication strategies and campaigns in partnership with enrollment teams
  • Collaborate with university enrollment teams on WES lead performance and the development of specialized outreach and engagement campaigns
  • Assist WES President and VPs with strategic projects and specialized outreach campaigns to support national expansion and enrollment/revenue growth
  • Assist WES Vice President, Training and Development to develop and execute new program launch activities
  • Assist WES Vice President, Partnership Development with vertical and regional business development and partner activation planning and activities.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications or Marketing, preferred; and a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in client facing roles, advertising, marketing, project management, data management or analytics; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Higher education experience preferred

  • Knowledge of overall digital agency structure and processes with an understanding of creative and development workflow.
  • Knowledge of project management and tools such as Basecamp, Trello or Teamwork, a plus; highly organized with solid time management and prioritization skills.
  • Intermediate use of computers and Microsoft Office Suite Applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and ability to learn new systems as necessary to succeed with results.
  • An independent, strategic thinker with good judgment, sensitivity, and common sense.
