Position Title: Sr. Marketing Research Manager

Position Location: 100% remote position; Reporting to: 9388 Lightwave Ave, San Diego, CA 92123

Days / Hours: Mon – Fri / 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Summary of Duties: Position does not have direct management or supervisory duties. Collaborate with Account Services and content creators to create strategically positioned content. Transform consumer research/analyses into marketing opportunities, program strategies and strategic communication direction for media and account services teams as well as Enrollment Services. Work with internal stakeholders on new program and program redesign launches. Conduct program marketing performance analysis, present findings and make recommendations to key stakeholders and decision-makers including media team and school leadership. Responsible for incorporation of market intelligence dashboards into program marketing performance analyses. Provide program market strategy and strategic positioning for new and existing programs. Review, analyze and make recommendations to senior leaders regarding available market and consumer intelligence to build strategies and program positioning. Key stakeholder in program launch partnership by providing key program information/key features, differentiators as well as market strategy and program positioning. Develop and operate segmentation structure and consumer profiles. Provide strategic oversight for product positioning for strategic communication in both new and existing programs.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing or related field of study and 5 years of progressive experience in marketing research. Employer will also accept a Master’s degree or equivalent in Marketing or related field of study and 3 years of experience in marketing research in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of progressive experience.

Applicants must have demonstrated experience with the following:

5 years (3 years with a Master’s degree) of experience in marketing analytics, including market analysis and product marketing; Higher Education secondary research tools including: EMSI, Burning Glass, National Clearinghouse, NCES, and SARA; product marketing strategy and tactics; data reporting and analysis; analytic tools and systems including R, SQL, and SAS; and business intelligence and visualization platforms.

Any and all experience may be gained concurrently.
