Job Summary:

Performs a variety of general clerical, office and receptionist duties in support of
the Cooperative Work Experience ( CWE ) Program. Assists the CWE Coordinator and Program Assistant with project and program clerical support.

Required Qualifications:

Requires basic office and clerical skills, including use of computers and
word processing programs. Requires good organizational, time management, and
communication skills. Must be able to work in a collaborative environment with a diverse group
of faculty and staff. Requires strong communication skills to interact effectively with students of
varying educational levels and cultural backgrounds, Must be able to maintain
confidentiality. Prefer knowledge of the LBCC Albany campus.

Essential Duties:

Provides assistance to selected departments with student outreach, recruitment, and retention projects. Collaborates with staff responsible for projects or initiatives.

Assists division faculty with student contacts that support recruitment, enrollment information, and/or retention efforts.

Assists with reception duties in the Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities division as needed. Responds to student and staff inquiries and disseminates information to appropriate staff. Composes and types, using word processing, news releases, letters and other communications.

Provides clerical support, including word processing, file management, faxing, copying, etc. to division staff as needed. May schedule meetings and appointments.

Supports division staff with special projects related to improving common spaces and art galleries in the division (organizing, filing, documenting, sorting, and cleaning). Monitors common spaces such as computer labs, art galleries, and/or classrooms when appropriate.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Keeps ATI spreadsheets/timesheets up to date, laser fische and more.

Applicant Instructions:

Applicants MUST BE an current LBCC Student in good-standing, be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours; and maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher throughout the term of employment.

As a condition of employment, all new employees are required to be compensated via direct deposit.
