Job Summary:

Monitors the Visual Arts Lab (IC-120) to ensure safety and security of all supplies. Assists division with clerical tasks supporting special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Requires basic office and clerical skills and familiarity with general office equipment including personal computers. Requires good communication and customer relations skills, including electronic communication. Familiarity with department policies and procedures is preferred. STUDENT MUST BE AN ACTIVE AND ENROLLED STUDENT AT LBCC

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Position involves long periods sitting at a computer plus light to medium work, which includes, kneeling, and carrying and lifting of light to medium weight materials (10 to 25 pounds). Must be able to operate a computer and general office equipment. Requires ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone.

Essential Duties:

1. Supports division staff with special projects related to improving common spaces and art galleries in the division (organizing, filing, documenting, sorting, and cleaning).

2. Monitors common spaces such as computer labs, art galleries, and/or classrooms when appropriate.

3. Performs other related duties as assigned.
