The ideal hiring salary for this position will be within $20.00hr/$41,600 annual to 26.50hr/$55,120 annual for highly experienced candidates. Actual pay will depend on experience and qualifications.

Job Summary:

The University of Wisconsin-Madison is accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant position at the Data Science Institute (DSI). This position will report directly to the Associate Director of Administration, will assist the Director of DSI, and will provide support to DSI staff members to advance the DSI's research goals and objectives.

The DSI is growing! This position is critical to the support and success of the institute as we implement policies, hold events, and smoothly transition through day-to-day operations.

H.S. Diploma


Experience in a professional office setting
Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
Exceptional administrative and interpersonal skills
Ability to screen and prioritize projects
Consistently fulfill administrative tasks

Experience managing calendars and project management
Experience with travel arrangements and travel reimbursements.
Experienced and comfortable using a variety of cloud services and shared files

Work Schedule:

40 hours per week will typically take place M-F, 8:00am and 5:00pm.

Full Time: 100%

This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.
