This position will also provide support to theOffice of Scholarly EngagementandCOMPASS,the Universities initiative to offer resources, purpose and direction to students on their path to a degree. The Administrative Assistant representsOSEandCOMPASSto all stakeholders as a helpful resource and collaborative partner, greeting, serving and supporting people of all cultures.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Create a friendly and welcoming environment for a diverse array of faculty, staff, students and the community
  • Prepare and proofread correspondence, reports, and other documents prepared byCOMPASSandOSEdirectors
  • Manage calendar scheduling, registration and recordkeeping for meetings and events forOSEandCOMPASS
  • Manage and respond to incoming inquiries from students, partners or faculty via email, mail, phone, or voicemails
  • Work independently to organize processes involvingCOMPASSand multiple programs withinOSE
  • Support student workers or graduate assistants; schedule, assign and review work
  • Partner with marketing and communications on standards and needs to ensure compliance and alignment with University policies
  • Assist multiple departments account management including gift funds and our purchasing activities by reconciling accounts monthly and maintaining balances
  • Order office supplies, copy and fax documents as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma orGED
  • One (1) year of full-time work experience that includes administrative support. Four (4) years of undergraduate student work experience or two (2) years of graduate student work experience may be substituted for full-time experience.
  • Data entry and database experience
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office and Google suite of products
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in Higher Education
  • Experience with communications, marketing
  • Experience supervising or mentoring students
