Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) is currently the fourth largest of NC. Community College System's 58 institutions. The Technology Learning Support Coordinator, Center for Academic Engagement provides leadership and management for learning support technology (Titan Hub) at all campuses of Guilford Technical Community College and online. A forward-thinking leader, the Technology Learning Support Coordinator, Center for Academic Engagement manages innovative learning support technology tools and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to initiate partnerships and enhance student success. The Technology Learning Support Coordinator, Center for Academic Engagement works in close collaboration with GTCC's Information Technology Services department. Additionally, this position participates in the coordination of tutoring for technology related courses.

Education Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field from a regionally accredited postsecondary institution

Education Preferred:
  • Master's degree or higher in information technology or related field from a regionally accredited postsecondary institution.

Experience Required:
  • Three years of experience providing learning support and/or instruction on technology topics
  • Recent experience managing technology in an educational institution to include software administration (Apple and PC platforms)
  • Experience developing and implementing instructional programming to promote skill acquisition.
  • Experience hiring, training, and supervising employees, including conducting performance evaluations

Experience Preferred:
  • Greater than three years of experience providing learning support and/or instruction on technology topics
  • Experience with software used to track academic support services (e.g.., TutorTrac, Navigate)
  • Experience using learning management systems (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas)
  • Experience with integrated student information systems (e.g., Datatel Colleague, Banner, etc.)
  • Experience hiring, training, and supervising tutors in a post-secondary setting.
