The Department of Educational Studies (www.edst.purdue.edu) at Purdue University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month Lecturer in Special Education to begin January 2023. In this position, the faculty member will be expected to teach a 4/4 load of courses (four courses in the fall semester and four courses in the spring semester) in our undergraduate programs. In addition, the faculty member will be expected to contribute to faculty service requirements. Applicant documents should demonstrate that they meet the following:
Required Qualifications:
- Hold a Master’s degree in special education or a closely related field Minimum of 3 years teaching and/or related experience working with individuals with disabilities in K-12 settings, and A record of teaching excellence.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience preparing and/or supervising in-service and/or pre-service teachers, Expertise in multiple areas of special education content (e.g., high-incidence disabilities, special education law, systematic instruction, transition, family engagement, academic instruction for students with disabilities)
