Transfer Credit Specialist (HYBRID)



Job Description:

The Registrar's Office at Champlain College is seeking a detail-oriented and communicativeTransfer Credit Specialist. This role Hybrid role will be on campus on average 3 days per week. The Transfer Credit Specialist is responsible for articulating and transcribing incoming transfer credit for all traditional students as well as standardized test credit, such as AP and IB exams. This position will review, evaluate, and process transfer credit for all new, continuing, and returning traditional students. Collaborate with the Traditional Admissions Office to provide transfer credit summaries for prospective students and transfer credit elevations for incoming transfer applicants. Work closely with the Champlain College Online Transfer Credit Team to ensure best practices in transfer procedures and equity across student populations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform transfer credit evaluations for incoming traditional transfer students and provide transfer credit summaries to prospective traditional transfer students
  • Perform transfer credit evaluations for traditional incoming first-year students and current students
  • Manage AP, IB, and other incoming alternative credit opportunities for traditional students
  • Responsible for assisting returning students in the readmission process
  • Expertly manage student and transfer data
  • Effectively communicate with students, faculty, and staff around transfer credit and College policies



Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 1+ years of experience in Higher Education
  • Knowledge of Higher Education software such as Colleague, Salesforce, and Perceptive Content preferred
  • Working knowledge of FERPA
