Health & Medical Office Coordinator



Job Description:

Seeking an organized and welcoming team member to be our next Health & Medical Office Coordinator. This role's primary function is patient services representative. The Coordinator will greet students when they arrive at the Student Health Center, help them feel welcome, and be the primary staff member managing scheduling through the electronic scheduling system. The role will be responsible for helping with the management of the Health Center, including ordering supplies, stocking exam rooms, and managing phone and email contacts with students, family members, and outside providers. This person will play a primary role in managing the Student Health Center's webpage and other methods of communication. They will work with both the Student Health Center staff as well as the Counseling and Accommodation Center staff in a variety of administrative support roles, including playing a lead role in monitoring immunization compliance for current students. Additionally, they will also assist the Nurse Practitioner and the Registered Nurse in preparing educational and training materials for use in programming and may have the opportunity to assist with the implementation of campus outreach programming.


Requirements:

  • Exposure to health care and health promotion
  • Experience in an office setting
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Understanding of the importance of patient confidentiality and basic knowledge of HIPAA guidelines
  • Experience with web page management and interest in further developing skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • High School Diploma or GED required Bachelor's Degree preferred
