Marketing Adjunct Instructors - Stiller School of Business



Job Description:

Adjunct instructors needed to teach a variety of Stiller School of Business courses for the Spring 2023 semester. Classes are held on-campus in Burlington, VT. Applicants should live within commuting distance of the Burlington, VT campus.

Champlain College fosters a career-focused hands-on learning environment. Our classes are generally very interactive and faculty are encouraged to bring meaningful experiences to the classroom.

Times/days are flexible. Evening classes run once per week, 5:30 to 8:15 pm. Daytime classes generally meet twice per week for 1 hours 15 minutes on Mondays and Thursdays or Tuesdays and Fridays. Daytime class meeting times begin at 8:30 am. The spring semester runs from January 16, 2023 - May 5, 2023.

Instructors needed for the following courses:

MKT-280-01 Activist Marketing

Course description: Students will examine the concept of Activist Marketing, exploring what it means for a brand/business to lead with their values and be an advocate for social change movements. Using the 6 P's of Brand Activism developed by Ben and Jerry's-Purpose, Policy, People, Power, Publishing and Pop Culture-students will investigate brands and their history of "activism" to answer the question, "Can brands really be activists if their ultimate goal is to sell a product?"

MKT-360-51 Advanced Digital Marketing

Course description: Students will expand on what they learned in Digital Marketing by moving beyond making recommendations to actually running various aspects of digital marketing campaigns. Students will earn industry-standard certifications, practice tactics in a simulated environment and work with a live client project to implement digital marketing strategies and tactics. Students will learn the privacy, ethical and legal implications of utilizing digital tools.

MKT-430-01 Strategic Community Management

Course description: An organization's online community manager must be a community advocate and brand evangelist who has savvy communication skills, can create content on multiple platforms, gather community input and measure success. Students will learn how to manage multiple online communities for an existing brand. In this hybrid course, students will meet both in the classroom as well as virtually utilizing an online learning management system. Students will be required to sign up for multiple online accounts on a variety of services.


Requirements:

A minimum of a Master's degree and relevant professional experience are required. Previous teaching experience is helpful but not necessary.
