Position Purpose
This position helps students understand Evergreen's curriculum, develop an academic plan, and choose programs and courses to explore interests and attain their goals; supports students in developing skills for college success, and makes referrals to college resources and support services as necessary; assists students in exploring and preparing for careers or post-baccalaureate education; supports engagement in experiential and service learning opportunities including internships; and assists students in understanding Evergreen policies and procedures. This position also has responsibility for coordination of events and programs that support the advising process and presentation of advising-related workshops as needed. This position reports to the Director of Academic and Career Advising.
This is a full-time, overtime-eligible position in Academic and Career Advising on the Olympia Campus of The Evergreen State College. This position is exempt from Washington State Civil Service rules.
Salary and Benefits: $3,706 – $4,151 per month of full-time work + excellent benefits including paid sick and vacation leave; paid campus holidays; a generous medical, dental, life, and disability insurance package; and a tuition waiver program.
