Located in sunny Miami, Florida, St. Thomas University is a private, non-profit university that offers 39 undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate degrees at its picturesque 144-acre campus and through distance learning. POSITION SUMMARY

The position will be to teach in the undergraduate and graduate programs for the School of Theology and Ministry and to serve as the Program Director for the MA in Ministry & Leadership and the PhD in Theology & Leadership.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide undergraduate lectured courses for: Biblical, Systematic, Moral, and/or Contextual Theology.
• Provide graduate lectured courses for: Biblical, Systematic, Moral, and/or Pastoral Theology.
• Develop or revise courses for undergraduate and graduate Theology courses.
• Provide academic advising to students in the undergraduate and graduate Theology programs.
• Create course schedules for each semester, including assigning professors to classes.
• Recruit and follow-up with students for admission to the graduate Theology programs.
• Carry a minimum class load of 12 credits per semester.
• Available for a minimum of 12 hours a week for office hours.
• Represent STU at events to promote the Theology programs.
• Other Theology teaching, research, and advising duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• PhD in Catholic Theology is required.
• Qualified experience teaching and working with undergraduate and graduate students.
• Publication track-record of teaching and conducting research in Theology.
• Experience with online teaching delivery.
• Must obtain Mandatum from the local bishop, as stated in Canon Law 812.
• Comfortable with several classroom technological applications.

Tuition Benefit

After 1 year of continuous full‐time service, employees are eligible to enroll in STU’s bachelor and master courses, tuition‐free. The program will cover a maximum timeframe of 125% of credit hours attempted toward the degree program. Employees may enroll in STU’s doctoral program, with a 40% tuition discount, under the same conditions.
