Job Summary:
The Coppin State University College of Behavioral and Social Sciences Invites applications for a full-time position to serve as Coordinator of the Partners in Education and Student Engagement beginning ASAP . The applicant will serve as the liaison between the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences, community colleges, K-12 school partners and CBSS students. The primary function of the position is to establish new and maintain existing partnerships with educational partners by fostering collaboration, supporting engagement, and building strong pipelines that support enrollment and engage students in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences In opportunistic experiences.

Essential Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain relationships with community colleges, K-12 partners as well as government, corporations, and private entitles to initiate and support activities with internal and external partners that enhance our educational enterprise.

Work closely with College of Behavioral and Social Science faculty and chairs who serve as leads with external partners as well as with university personnel/office that oversee development and maintenance of articulation agreements and MOUs with educational partners. Responsible for ensuring CBSS compliance with all articulation agreements, IAs and MOUs .

Initiates CBSS recruitment and retention initiatives, participates in university recruitment and retention events and audits all CBSS graduation applications.

Handles CBSS student concerns.

Maintain a system of data and information that supports CBSS assessment and accreditation.

Required Qualifications

Education:
Master’s degree from an accredited institution

Experience:
University experience in Academic Affairs (or equivalent) or three years industry experience in any of the academic areas in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences is preferred. Research experience in the behavioral and social sciences is also preferred. New doctoral graduates are also welcomed to apply.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Experience working with educational institutions
  • knowledge of academic programs
  • Experience with program development
  • Ability to facilitate and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Data and information management that support assessment and accreditation
  • Good written and oral communication skills
