Lecturer of Civil and Environmental Engineering
Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track Lecturer of Civil and Environmental Engineering faculty position in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering with a preferred start date of January 2023.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses and laboratories throughout the curriculum, with an emphasis on Structural Engineering, and be the lead professor for structural engineering-related courses and labs.
- Teach a variety of general engineering courses and other Civil Engineering courses with more focus on Structural Engineering and Construction Engineering Specialties.
- Service activities will include student advising and outreach activities as well as participation in department and college committees.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
An earned Master’s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a discipline related to civil engineering or a closely related field is required.
Preferred Qualifications Include
- An earned Ph.D., or the foreign equivalent, in Civil/Environmental Engineering or a closely related field OR more than three years of experience in the industry.
- Ability or willingness to work with student competition teams to assure student success.
- PE license or being able to get the PE license within 1-2 years.
- Evidence of teaching or working with a culturally and ethnically diverse community.
