ADJUNCT PROFESSOR OF DIGITAL MEDIA STRATEGY

The Masters in Digital Media Strategy Program at Bridgewater College invites applications for an Adjunct Professor of Digital Media Strategy with expertise in digital media campaign targeting and analytics to teach a Spring 2023 course in the MDMS program.

Responsibilities for the position include teaching one online section of DMS 546: Digital Media Campaign Targeting and Analytics during the Spring 2023 semester. This 3-credit, graduate course covers strategies for identifying and reaching potential target audiences on various types of online platforms (e.g. Search Engine Optimization). Basic web analytics techniques will be covered, as well as analytics reporting strategies.  

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Qualified applicants will hold a Ph.D. or other appropriate terminal degree (ABD considered) in Communication Studies, Rhetoric and Composition, Writing Studies, or a related field. We will also consider candidates with a non-terminal graduate degree and sufficient industry experience. We seek applicants with teaching and industry experience.

 PROGRAM INFORMATION:

The MA in Digital Media Strategy program is an interdisciplinary (Communication Studies, Professional Writing, Digital Media Art) professional digital media masters program for those interested in designing, managing, and measuring the effects of digital media communication campaigns.

Bridgewater College was founded in 1880 as the first coeducational college in Virginia. Bridgewater offers bachelor’s degrees in approximately 60 majors and minors, along with four graduate programs, pre-professional programs such as medicine and law, and teacher licensure. The College is a member of NCAA Division III and the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, with 23 intercollegiate athletic teams. The vibrant residential campus is located in the town of Bridgewater, Virginia, near the city of Harrisonburg in the center of the Shenandoah Valley. COMPENSATION:

The Adjunct Professor of Digital Media Strategy position will receive $3,600 for teaching one online course during the Spring 2023 semester. Additional financial support may be provided for materials and equipment at the discretion of the Program Director.
