Job Description

Provides leadership to three major program areas of the MU Career Center. This person will manage the walk-in and appointment services of the MU Career Center, including training and supervising approximately 30 student employees. This person will manage the career counseling services provided by 3-5 graduate counselors in training, including coordinating efforts with the Counseling Psychology program and training the counselors on career development. This person will serve as the career education and training lead to MU faculty and staff, coordinating training sessions and providing resources for the Career Development Network.

Salary

Salary Range: $48,900 - $68,815

GGS Grade: 10

Shift

M-F 8 am – 5 pm, some weekend or travel possible

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

A Master's degree is required. Degree in counseling, higher education, student services, or related area is preferred.
Three years of experience in a career center, career counseling, or higher education setting is required. Experience with management, supervision, counseling, and training is preferred.
