Job Summary

The Office of University Scholarships seeks candidates for an Administrative Support Specialist II position to provide varied and high level administrative and technical support, with significant emphasis on more complex administrative responsibilities.

Essential Functions

General functions include, but may not be limited to;
  • Advising others on processes, procedures, and services
  • Resolving policy related or procedural problems; gathering information and preparing various reports and correspondence
  • Researching and resolving issues
  • Performing specialized technical duties and coordinating processes
  • Reviewing and verifying documentation for completeness and compliance with policies and procedure
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of data and databases
  • Performing a variety of clerical duties, which may include typing & correspondence, filing/folders, recordkeeping/compilation/data entry, preparation/processing forms, calendars and scheduling, mail distribution and outgoing mailings, telephones and greeting, supplies/inventory, limited supervision of clerical student work, and other support duties of similar difficulty
  • Specific function include, but may not be limited to: scanning and imaging documents; recording external scholarship funds upon receipt, and auditing external scholarship funds following post.

Desired Qualifications

Desired qualifications include: some college, vocational, or associates degree from an accredited institution with an emphasis on general studies or administrative training and extensive experience as a receptionist managing a multi-line phone. Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite including Access, Excel, and Word; Ellucian Banner Student and Finance; Blackbuad, AdviseAssist, Slate CRM and EMC Application Extender Document Management Software is also preferred
