WIDA MARKETING MANAGER

Salary:

Minimum $65,000 ANNUAL (12 months)
Depending on Qualifications
Actual pay will depend on experience and qualifications.

Job Summary:

The WIDA Marketing Manager position is located within the Communications and Market Expansion department and will report to the Assistant Director of Communications and Marketing. This position will supervise a staff of 4 (3 marketing specialists and 1 coordinator). They will be responsible for leading WIDA's digital marketing strategy and overseeing execution. This includes serving as the owner and leader of key WIDA communication vehicles including direct mail and social media, and as a strong collaborator on the WIDA public website. The Marketing Manager will lead WIDA's integrated marketing campaign efforts to build educator awareness of and engagement with WIDA resources and services.

Working fully remote is an option for this position within the US (working remotely internationally is not an option). Responsibilities:

Contributes to the development of marketing strategy and oversees implementation of marketing plans, projects, and campaigns. May supervise personnel within a work unit marketing team.
  • 40% Develops operational plans in support of marketing projects and campaigns including staffing and resource allocation, and oversees execution of operations that adhere to deadlines and budgets
  • 10% Segments audiences, identifies marketing opportunities, evaluates competition, integrates marketing tactics, and measures marketing program results
  • 10% Develops, edits, monitors, and provides feedback on content
  • 20% Oversees creative development and project management processes for marketing activities
  • 20% Supervisory authority, including hiring, promoting, managing performance, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked

Education:

Required
Bachelor's Degree
Communications or marketing emphasis

Qualifications:

- Minimum 2 years' experience managing others including hiring, onboarding, completing regular performance reviews, promoting
- Minimum 2 years' experience leading communications and marketing in the field of education
- Minimum 2 years' experience building an effective social media presence among educators
- Excellent verbal, written and digital communication skills; proven ability to communicate in a timely, effective manner with external and internal clients
- Proven strong creative judgement and experience guiding compelling graphic design work, aligned with brand guidelines in support of communication/marketing campaigns
- Ability to navigate complex organizational structure, including ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to conceptualize and apply customer segmentation strategies for marketing campaigns
- Ability to develop and deliver relevant data-driven reports that yield insights regarding marketing effectiveness
- A value of promoting and fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- A willingness to engage in and deepen knowledge of WIDA's Social Justice value.

It is anticipated this position will be remote and requires work be performed at an offsite, non-campus work location.
