Summary of Job Duties:The Northwest Arkansas Regional Admissions Advisor will be responsible for managing the University’s undergraduate and transfer student recruitment efforts in an assigned territory and other areas as designated. The candidate selected must reside within the targeted region. This position is governed by state and federal laws, as well as, agency/institution policy.

Required Education and/or Experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree;
  • Experience in higher education recruitment/admissions, sales, or other appropriate field
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining relationships with high school counselors and community college representatives;
  • Visit high schools and community colleges to recruit students, work college fairs as well as present at college-day events;
  • Communicate with prospective students important dates and deadlines, missing credentials, and information regarding the enrollment process through means of email, phone calls or text messages, social media, and in-person meetings;
  • Plan and participate in off-campus recruiting events;
  • Create and develop partnerships within the community;
  • Assist with the development of targeted recruitment strategies and projects;
  • Collaborate with Admissions colleagues and other UAFS campus departments and offices regarding recruitment and enrollment activities;
  • Report and track all recruiting activities and communications in the Slate platform;
  • Create and maintain Slate reports to manage prospective students through the admissions funnel;
  • Assist students and family members with finding detailed information about UAFS admissions requirements, undergraduate programs of study, and the student onboarding process;
  • Data entry and review of admission documents such as high school transcripts, college transcripts, test scores (ACT, SAT, Accuplacer), immunization records, letters of good standing, letters of non-attendance, permission letters from parents and school officials, etc.
  • Develop additional presentations and workshops to promote UAFS within high schools, two-year institutions, and the assigned community;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Extensive knowledge of the various steps in the admissions cycle, from inquiry to application to enrollment;
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills;
  • Superior communication skills, oral and written, are essential, especially when responding to non-technical users of campus data;
  • Experience with a CRM software system (preferably Slate)
  • Knowledge of internet and conventional office technology tools – These tools include e-mail, internet search engines, and software applications Word, Excel, and MS Access.
  • Ability to organize multiple tasks and documents that have been concurrently assigned;
  • Ability to maintain cohesive working files and documentation of project tasks;
  • Ability to self-initiate project tasks after accepting an assignment under general supervision;
  • Ability to create short reports or narratives that may be required to explain data results or significance of the data applied to the original statement of the problem;
  • Ability to read maps and give directions;
  • The ability to operate a motor vehicle and hold a valid driver’s license;
  • Ability to travel in and out of state, including overnight stays.
