The Business Process Improvement team leads out in optimizing business processes across the university as well as coaching process owners and change leaders on continuous improvement. What you'll be doing:

  • Apply knowledge and expertise to effectively manage implementation of process improvements, conduct organizational change management, and monitor and evaluate results.
  • Work closely with departments and individuals across the University and within the Digital Transformation (Dx) division, the successful applicant will plan and lead project implementation, lead organizational change management to increase adoption, and work with process owners and stakeholders to monitor and sustain improvements made.

Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in a related field plus one year of related experience OR a combination of relevant experience and education totaling five years.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge:

  • Training in Lean or Six-Sigma methodology, change management, and/or ability to be trained in business process analysis theory and practice.
  • Process mapping experience and ability to lead teams through documenting processes and sustaining process changes.
  • Understanding of how software and hardware, systems, and programs can work together to create a working business solution.
  • Experience with core software applications, including Teams, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Powerpoint and their equivalents.
  • Proven experience with business analysis of processes, workflows, and standards.



Skills:

  • Coaching and mentoring others on following business process improvement methods.
  • Strong customer service and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated project management and team communications skills.
  • Organizational change management skills to help stakeholders, users, and the organization adopt and sustain the proposed changes.

Abilities:

  • Ability to lead/guide teams through implementing business process changes.
  • Ability to maintain a focus on the vision/organizational objectives for stakeholders around solution(s) being implemented and guide teams to achieve those objectives.
  • Ability to be logical, efficient, and highly self-motivated.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented collaborative environment or to work alone to accomplish organizational goals.


Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalency and at least three years related field experience.
Lean Six-Sigma green or yellow belt certification or higher.
CMP (Change Management Practitioner) certification.

Physical Requirements:
Minimal physical demands, but extended sitting, standing, and some walking/mobility are expected.
