Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Scenic
Designer/Technical Director in the Music /Theatre Arts
The candidate would be expected to: oversee and facilitate all
technical production needs in the Woods Theatre; design and oversee
scenic construction, lighting, sound, operations and props of all
Departmental theatrical and music productions, at all locations on
campus, as well as Shadow Lawn Stage summer productions; design
lighting and technically direct all departmental concerts.

Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication
Required Years of Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Theatre or related field. Ability to interact
with University personnel related to theatre operation. Thorough
understanding of all aspects of technical theatre, including
construction, lighting, equipment, rigging, and sound.
Familiarity with audio/visual equipment, stage lighting and control
boards. Ability to navigate around the building space and theater
apparatus at heights, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
