Director of Quality Enhancement Plan (QP)/Associate Professor
The Office of the Provost at Coastal Carolina University ( CCU ) invites applications for the position of Director of the Quality Enhancement Plan ( QEP ). CCU has chosen Succeed@Coastal as its QEP, which is an important part of its regional accreditation reaffirmation. The fundamental purpose of Succeed@Coastal is to develop sustainable inclusive learning environments that support our institution’s mission to help students become “productive, responsible, healthy citizens with a global perspective.” Succeed@Coastal will help students to work towards inclusive excellence through the acquisition of such skills as communication across difference and inclusive decision-making. By fostering an inclusive environment, we will help students to forge connections with one another and with CCU as a way to improve their persistence, their educational and professional outcomes, and their success in diverse economic and social infrastructures.
The ideal candidate has experience in pedagogical efforts that support inclusive learning environments, has lead faculty training with respect to these efforts, has knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices, has some knowledge of student success initiatives both from the academic side and student affairs side, can communicate effectively to generate interest in and excitement for the goals of the QEP, and has knowledge of assessment, academic administration, and project management.
This is a 12-month full-time position with open academic rank based on experience. Evaluation of candidates will begin October 28, 2022, with appointment effective January 3, 2023.
