Job Summary:
The Marketing & Communications Specialist encompasses a comprehensive range of responsibilities including but not limited to: 1) develop and execute marketing and PR strategies for EBI in coordination with the Crummer Graduate School of Business marketing team, 2) facilitation of affinity groups and roundtables, including the marketing and development affinity group, 3) build strategic partnerships and alliances to expend the influence, reach, and impact of EBI, 4) write copy related to media, reporting, white papers, and other documents, 5) offer program support, as needed for in-person and virtual programs, as needed, and 6) provide management assistance for nonprofits.

Essential Job Functions:
• Develop and execute marketing & PR strategies and campaigns for EBI in coordination with the Crummer marketing team.
- Develop and execute overall marketing and public relations plan and adjust strategies, as needed, to achieve desired outcomes
- Increase program participation and membership through various communications, events and marketing strategies
- Take part in brainstorming sessions, offering analytical insights to develop and plan creative marketing campaigns that increase brand awareness
- Develop campaigns within marketing budget
- Develop and deliver strong email and social media marketing/campaigns
- Create marketing materials using graphic design and cohesive messaging
- Manage/oversee website, marketing materials and social media
- Serve as the point of contact for marketing-related activities
- Advocate for the nonprofit sector with the media, as assigned
- Conduct marketing research through focus groups, surveys, etc. to understand market conditions and develop appropriate marketing responses
- Assist with the analysis of marketing data, including campaign results, conversion rates, and online traffic to improve future marketing strategies and campaigns
- Facilitate of affinity groups and roundtables, including the marketing affinity group
• Build strategic community and corporate alliances and sponsorships to extend the influence, reach and impact of both departments (i.e. AFP Planet Philanthropy, National Philanthropy Day, etc.)
• Write/edit marketing advertising copy, reports, and other documents and materials. This includes blogs, websites, grant reporting, press releases, etc.
• Offer program support, as needed for in-person and virtual programs
• Provide management assistance for nonprofits
• Collaborate closely with the Crummer strategic marketing team, as well as the Rollins strategic marketing team when appropriate

Minimum Qualifications & Education:
• Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution
• 2+ years of marketing and public relations experience; nonprofit marketing and public relations experience
• Project management experience
• Experience with various marketing/advertising campaigns and social media platforms
• Demonstrated experience in the use of Constant Contact or other email marketing solution
• Demonstrated experience in the use of Adobe Creative Suite or other design platform
• Ability to create graphics following a cohesive campaign
• Knowledge of web, social media and e-mail marketing best practices
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, design platforms, HTML, Adobe Creative Suite, and related software
• Outstanding interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills that may include public speaking and presentations
• Excellent organizational skills, time management to meet deadlines, and attention to detail
• Ability to lead and facilitate groups; understanding of group dynamics
• Exhibits qualities of a creative thinker ad an aptitude in problem solving
• Intellectual curiosity and commitment to excellence
• Possess a valid driver's license, or ability to obtain an Florida driver's license within 30 days of accepting the job, and acceptable MVR are required

Preferred Qualifications:
• Grant reporting and writing skills
• Business development experience
• Strong knowledge of the nonprofit sector and nonprofit organizational management including marketing and public relations

Work Environment:
• Campus-based, front-facing customer service position, working in an office environment with other staff members and volunteers
• Regular use of a computer and databases
• Travel to outside meetings, trainings, etc. throughout the state
• Flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, may be required on an "as needed" basis
