Position Description

Performs administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large specialized project and program. Performs varied and complex administrative duties requiring independent judgment and the application of established policies and procedures. May provide supervision and direction to clerical, paraprofessional or professional staff members.

Major/Essential Functions

Provides clinical management and oversight for the designated programs (CPAN and PeriPAN). Ensures proper care is being provided in accordance with program goals. Provides ongoing clinical and administrative staff development and program planning. Establishes clinical practice structure, case coordination, creating and reviewing clinical documentation as needed, and reviewing referrals. Develops content for child and adolescent behavioral health consultation services and training opportunities for primary care providers (PCP) and obstetric providers. The Sr. Program Director will work to support the overall program involving pediatricians, family medicine physicians, obstetricians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants needing assistance with patients: psychiatric consultation, behavioral management plan, or resource/referrals. The Sr. Program Director will work efficiently to help mental health professionals manage the calls coming in, recommendations provided, and educational needs of the providers. The Sr. Program Director will facilitate coordination between the CATR: Supported by TCHATT Sr. Program Director in order to wrap services around the patients and families we work with and coordinate with the Education and Outreach Sr. Program Director for all trainings and events.
  • Oversees day to day operations in the delivery of mental health service provided by mental health professionals (LPCs/LCSWs).
  • Effectively and engagingly speaks about programs to community members, clinic leadership, providers, and stakeholders across the identified region.
  • Attends meetings with the Central Operating Support Hub (COSH)
  • Listen/view the Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium (TCMHCC) meetings
  • Develops mental health materials to program staff.
  • Works in collaboration with primary care health providers, obstetricians, case management providers, employees, and outside consultants as needed to ensure a high-quality continuum of care that comprehensively meets the needs of the patient.
  • Enrolls providers in the CPAN and PeriPAN programs.
  • Assists the provider in developing a behavioral plan based on information provide through the referral to CPAN.

Preferred Qualifications

Appropriate clinical licensure. 5+ years of supervisory experience in a similar role. Proficient with MS Office Word and Excel. Proficient with supervision, service delivery, and case management fundamentals. Proficient knowledge of applicable laws. Strong people skills. Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
