Educational and Experience Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Master’s preferred. Five
years of experience in a related field. Experience in a state
institution of higher education is desirable. A combination of
education, experience, and training that would produce the required
knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position
Assumes delegated responsibilities in the performance of duties and
responsibilities in the planning and supervision of the ongoing
enrollment success initiatives of the University; oversight and
management of varied projects and services delivered under the Vice
President’s supervision; Requires a high level of independent
judgment, resourcefulness, creativeness, and initiative. Oversees
the execution of high-level strategic initiatives most important to
the Vice President of Enrollment Success.
Serves the Division of Enrollment Success in program evaluation,
strategic planning and project management. Facilitates and fosters
collaboration and growth within the Division of Enrollment Success
by serving as key strategy officer between division directors.
Performs complex and highly advanced work providing direction and
guidance in strategic operations and planning in the division.
Leads projects that require cross-functional engagement from
ideation through implementation. Performs research on key
divisional initiatives. Assists division departments with strategic
goals, objectives, and assessment. Produces and compiles reports
and summarizes information from a variety of sources for division
decision-making. May assist with functions related to human
resource management, business operations, reporting, planning, and
budget. Serves on committees as requested. Establishes sound
working relationships and cooperative arrangements with academic
leadership, faculty, and other campus partners. Channels and
facilitates communication from other departments, using independent
judgment to determine those requiring priority attention. Prepares,
reviews, revises, and distributes documents and general
correspondence of a routine nature. Performs other related duties
Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize
objectives, and exercise independent judgment. Ability to integrate
resources, policies, and information for the determination of
procedures, solutions, and other outcomes. Skilled in directing
multiple tasks, setting priorities, and organizing operations.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate, facilitate, and chair meetings
for the purpose of resolving differences and working toward
institutional goals. Ability to establish and maintain effective
work relationships with administration, faculty, staff, and the
public. Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Judgment and initiative are required in organizing and developing
methods and procedures. Must be proficient in all standard computer
applications, including Microsoft office products. Must have
excellent written and verbal communication and organizational
skills. Must be a team player with a proven ability to maintain the
highest level of confidentiality and attention to detail. Must have
the ability to handle a fast-paced environment and to manage
multiple projects/tasks with varied deadlines.
This position may be designated as a Campus Security Authority (
Up to 20% of this position, over the fiscal year during
off-peak periods, may be performed remotely as determined by the
