Job Description:

The Workspace Delivery Specialist is part of a team responsible for delivering an exceptional computing environment on 6,000+ endpoints in UFIT managed learning spaces, computer labs, classrooms, staff areas, and related services. Team members leverage excellent customer service skills, knowledge of UF IT standards, and a deep knowledge of multiple endpoint management technologies to achieve these goals.

This position is an excellent opportunity to develop skills and work with a team that embraces new technology and is consistently adapting to changes in instructional technology use. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team and have demonstrated problem solving skills, organizational skills, and customer service experience.

To be successful in this position, candidates should have meaningful experience in several of the following categories:
  • Endpoint management (InTune, SCCM, JAMF, Group Policy)
  • Image creation and deployment (MDT/WDS/Ghost)
  • Directory Services (Active Directory, Azure AD)
  • Scripting (PowerShell, Git)
  • Application packaging (Chocolatey, Microsoft App-V)
  • Windows Server administration
  • Virtualization technologies – Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare
Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Must be able to interact with end-users as well as IT staff across campus to resolve issues and develop new solutions to campus needs. Must be able to adapt to change.

Benefits

Full-time TEAMS employees will accrue vacation leave at a rate of 6.769 hours biweekly/22 days annually and sick leave at a rate of 4 hours biweekly/13 days annually. In addition, employees are eligible for ten paid holidays each year.

Vacation accruing TEAMS employees are eligible for four personal leave days/32 hours per year, assuming full-time status, and are intended to give the flexibility to enable units to close from December 26 to 31 when possible, determined on a unit-by-unit basis.

Expected Salary:

$55,000 – $60,000; commensurate based on education and experience .

Minimum Requirements:

Associate's degree and four years of appropriate experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and 6 years of relevant experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate of required experience

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following experience and skills:
  • Experience with endpoint management technologies (InTune, SCCM, JAMF, Group Policy)
  • Experience with image creation and deployment (MDT/WDS/Ghost)
  • Experience with Application packaging (Chocolatey, Microsoft App-V)
  • Experience using (PowerShell, Git)
  • Demonstrable proficiency with Windows Desktop/Server administration and best practices
