JOB SUMMARY:

Ramapo College of New Jersey is seeking applicants for one tenure track assistant professor position in Computer Science, with a starting date of January 2023 or August 2023. The College is seeking candidates dedicated to teaching computer science at the undergraduate and graduate (Masters) level. The candidate must have a strong background in their discipline, as evidenced by publications, presentations, professional experience, external funding record, and/or their work as a Ph.D. candidate. Candidates with expertise in any area of Computer Science are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will teach a wide range of Computer Science courses. The typical teaching load is three courses per semester.



DUTIES

At Ramapo College, your regular instructional schedule of six courses per academic year may also include, as College needs dictate, day classes or evening classes. Faculty assignments also include academic advisement, committee work, unit meetings, education and professional development, supervision of student field work, and other related duties. Faculty are expected to pursue external funding through grants and collaborations with industry partners, and to develop external partnerships to provide research opportunities that facilitate faculty-student collaborative research. It is expected that as a faculty member at Ramapo College, you will support the mission of the College and that you will actively participate in College-wide events.



REQUIREMENTS

    All candidates must either have a PhD in Computer Science, or expect to have completed their PhD in Computer Science by January 2023 or September 2023. Candidates with PhDs in closely related fields are also welcome to apply.
