Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow (PDF) in the Department of Clinical Oncology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 516622), to commence as soon as possible for one to two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

The Department provides an open, supportive, dynamic and motivating academic environment. The appointee will be involved in working on the cutting-edge research project related to a translational study to discover the new mechanisms underlying cancer metastasis and explore the therapeutic targets for immunotherapy to improve treatment outcomes for the metastatic cancers. The activities of PDF will be integrated in a multidisciplinary team.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Sciences, Cancer Immunology, Bioinformatics or a related discipline, with a good research publication record. Preference will be given to those with previous experience in one or more of the following areas: functional study for cancer and bioinformatics analysis for cancer genomics and epigenomics, or single-cell RNA-sequencing to characterize the tumor microenvironment and cell-cell interactions. Applicants should be self-motivated, able to work independently as well as in a team, and able to help supervise Ph.D. students. They should also have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English, good troubleshooting and laboratory skills, and effective collaboration skills.
