Specialist-Preventative Maintenance

Position Category: Staff - Full-Time

Summary:
Under the direction of the Associate Director- SSC/SLWC Operations - Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, Electrical outlets, lights/light fixtures, plumbing, toilet and urinal repairs, repairing doors and other building fixtures. Performs routine maintenance on building systems, gym equipment, bowling alley/pinsetter machinery. Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate’s degree and or any combination of job-related experience and education totaling three years

Must be accomplished within 1 year after hire:
Brunswick Bowling Certification
Life Fitness Equipment Certification



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of maintenance planning and equipment repair, including maintenance.
Knowledge of fluid systems, mechanical assembly, computer systems and parts inventory control.
Knowledge of bowling alley maintenance.
Knowledge of building maintenance.
Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, painting, finishing work
General knowledge of mechanics.

Skill in cost estimating, project planning and cost reports.
Skill in basic electricity, welding, machining, blue print reading, and metal heating treatment.
Skill in painting and drywall.
Skill in basic plumbing.
Skill in basic electrical.

Ability to operate a wide variety of machines and equipment.
Ability to develop plans to determine failure diagnosis in mechanical, fluid systems (hydraulic and pneumatic) and electrical systems and to make appropriate repairs.
Ability to operate power tools.
Ability to work as a team and alone.

Preferred Qualifications:
One to four years experience or training in maintaining a bowling alley is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
Physical ability to perform manual work. Must be able to lift greater than 50lbs
